WWII Lucky Bastard Club Certificates

If a Google search brought you to this blog post and you have a Lucky Bastard Certificate from ANY of the WWII 8th or 9th or 15th or 20th Army Air Force bomb groups, I would appreciate getting an HQ scan copy of it sent to me.  I am doing basic research into the use of these certificates during WWII. Just attach a scanned copy of yours to an email to me  at the CONTACT ME address above, right.

I am seeking a HQ scan of it in 200dpi or 300dpi.  I would also be interested in getting WWII period letters showing a listing of missions flown by the certificate holder and a HQ scan of his portrait in his dress uniform or flight gear, if you have one.

Some Groups called them a Certificate of Valor or simply issued a letter certification of the missions flown.  These certificates were awarded to only about one-third of the airmen assigned to groups that issued them, especially in the ETO.  They were very highly prized by the men who got one, but were one of their more private treasures since so many of their fellow airmen didn't make it.

 Thanks.
